The Course

Half Marathon

Due to the change in the start process, we have had to modify our course for this one year. The course now begins on the beach at Hampton Beach State park - at low tide.  You will run about 1/2 mile on the beach on hard packed sand then run out of the Hampton Beach parking lot onto Ocean Boulevard. It then heads north right along the Atlantic Ocean and turns inland for a loop on tree-lined roads before coming back out to the ocean at Mile 10. It finishes with a three-mile stretch along the beach, ending back by the Beach between A and B Streets for a well-deserved post-race snack!

All miles are marked with mile markers and all corners have at least one arrow. Race marshals and police will be stationed at any confusing corners.

The course is not measured and certified but it is 13.1 miles.

The Half will be started after the 5K this year, separate from the 5K to satisfy our COVID Safety rules.

The 5k Course

The Hampton 5k is one of the most scenic road races in New England! The course is comprised of the first 3.1 miles of the half marathon course, The course now begins on the beach at Hampton Beach State park - at low tide.  You will run about 1/2 mile on the beach on hard packed sand then run out of the Hampton Beach parking lot onto Ocean Boulevard and finish on the Boulevard between the A and B street signs.

The 5K will start before the half marathon this year.
