The event kicks off with packet pickup at 8 a.m. on Sunday, March 28th in Hampton Beach, NH. Both the half marathon and 5k start at 10 a.m.! Click a section below for more details.
With an elevation gain of only 115 feet, the Hampton Half is one of the flattest, fastest and most scenic half marathons in New England, second only to the Smuttynose Rockfest Half in October!
The course begins at C Street and Ocean Boulevard with a loop around downtown Hampton Beach. It then heads north right along the Atlantic Ocean and turns inland for a loop on tree-lined roads before coming back out to the ocean at Mile 10. It finishes with a three-mile stretch along the beach, ending back at the Start for a well-deserved celebration!
This course is very spectator friendly with great views of the runners at the Start, Mile 2, Mile 4, and at the Finish. All miles are marked with mile markers and all corners have at least one arrow. Race marshals and police will be stationed at any confusing corners.
The course is measured and certified by the USATF. Online interactive map: Click Here
The 5k Course
The Hampton 5k is one of the most scenic road races in New England! The course is comprised of the first 3.1 miles of the half marathon course, which means you'll be cheered on by spectators as you run beside the beautiful Atlantic ocean!
5k runners start alongside the half marathoners at 10 a.m. (they just get finished a little earlier)!
All runners will be treated to craft beer from our friends at Smuttynose (21+), steaming hot soup (both minestrone and chicken noodle), and an assortment of healthy snacks after the race! The best part? Everything is included with your registration!
